The TASCON® Business Analyst” software determines the “optimum” fair market value of a business or income property and determines the “optimum” financial deal structuring needed to help guarantee that the final determination of value doesn’t exceed the business’ or income property’s ability to pay the structured debt service that would be created by a hypothetical sale, doesn’t exceed its ability to pay a fair market rate of salary to the owner and doesn’t exceed its ability to pay a fair market return on investment to the owner/investor.

Challenge

TASCON®  had accumulated a wealth of knowledge by providing years of critical financial analysis consulting services to business owners, financial analysts, and legal professionals.  To further their offering, TASCON®  wanted to provide a secure, web based subscription service that would enable their clients to successfully implement best practices in business valuation and financial analysis.

Solution

“The TASCON® Business Analyst” is a sophisticated business valuation, deal structuring, budgeting, job costing and financial analysis tool targeted to financial professionals and business owners.   A web application written in C# for ASP.NET with a SQL Server 2005 database, it uses AJAX technologies to provide a spreadsheet level of responsiveness on the web. Access to the web site is subscription based, providing a range of service options and securely tracking user interactions. The product includes an online store with credit card processing, automatic email renewal reminders, and sophisticated on-line and downloadable reporting.

Due to the complexity of the financial calculations and the challenge in deploying them via the web,  TASCON® selected Yahara Software because of their skill and experience in bringing web based services solutions to market.  Yahara was able to leverage the latest web development tools and deploy a real time, persistent, financial  analysis tool.

Typically it takes a licensed business appraiser 40+ man hours to perform an average business valuation using other software and the result is still considered as being relatively inaccurate. “The TASCON® Business Analyst” allows an accurate and verifiable solution using nonsubjective data to be created complete with comprehensive reports in as little as 4 or less hours.

Key Components

The development for this project was done in the Microsoft ASP .NET environment using the C# programming language.  Microsoft SQL Server was used as the primary data repository for the system.
