Software is the unseen engine that powers much of our world, from our phones to the code that operates your LIMS.
When the software inside your platforms and instruments is properly tuned to your needs, it can transform your workflows and the operations of your organization. That is what we specialize in. Yahara Software builds software ecosystems that make your job easier – that enable scientific organizations to scale their operations commercially, streamline workflows, improve customer service, and increase ROI.
But instead of just telling you that, we’ll show you. Below are stories of real organizations and the work we did to support them.
A Human-Centered Control System for Multicolumn Chromatography
Client: Tosoh Bioscience
Service: Instrumentation Control Software
Tosoh Bioscience needed a modern control application for its OctaveBio multicolumn chromatography instrument, along with updates to ProComposer, its method-development tool. Rather than jumping straight into development, Yahara started with our Discovery process to understand the UI/UX and functional requirements scientists needed. We led with a Human-Centered Design (HCD) process that utilized user interviews, observations, and competitive research. That research surfaced four critical areas for a successful launch: automated experiment execution, at-a-glance device status, and real-time data trends, which shaped the BIOController into a system now central to Tosoh's scientists' daily work.

Production Support and Security Operations for a Client-Connected Platform
Client: A Life Sciences Organization
Service: DevSecOps (Managed Cloud Support)
One of our clients is a long-standing provider of products for the biotechnology and molecular biology industries. They built a software platform that connects their instruments to a range of services and gives clients proactive, actionable data for getting the most out of their products. But the platform only delivers value if it stays online, secure, and compliant once it's in clients' hands, so go-live support was critical. Yahara implemented a structured production support process that combined DevOps and SecOps support to ensure a successful launch and ongoing use of the platform.

Rescuing a Legacy Instrument Platform
Client: An International Industrial Automation Solutions Provider
Service: Instrumentation Control Software (Legacy Modernization)
When a pharmaceutical analytics provider's original development team departed, it left behind a legacy instrument platform with critical, unresolved bugs — the kind of situation that puts both product reliability and customer trust at risk. Our client brought us in to stabilize the system and bridge the gap to its next-generation platform. Rather than patching symptoms, our team conducted a comprehensive software architecture review and issue analysis to get to the root causes behind the device's performance problems, focusing on connectivity, data accuracy, and temperature stability — the three areas most critical to the instrument's pharmaceutical customers.
As one stakeholder put it: "The executive team is thrilled with what you've done so far. We're excited to continue this partnership."
What this delivered for the client:
Replacing Rigid Off-the-Shelf Software Reduced Billing Management by 80% and Increased Customer Satisfaction
Client: A Clinical Trial Management Organization
Service: Data & Analytics (Custom Software Development)
An organization that connects sponsors and health systems to run clinical trials was struggling with rigid off-the-shelf software. Information was scattered, workflows were disconnected, and essential data went missing — with monthly billing and coverage analysis eating days of manual effort. Yahara built a solution designed around the client's workflows: custom support for request management, time tracking, and invoicing; a dedicated coverage-analysis and budget-negotiation module replacing complex spreadsheets; a self-service client portal; and continuous optimization, including an AI-powered document-analysis tool to further accelerate coverage analysis.

A Production Chat Assistant That Answers Curriculum Questions
Client: WIDS (Worldwide Instructional Design System)
Service: AI & Machine Learning (AI Assistants & Chatbots)
WIDS (Worldwide Instructional Design System) helps colleges manage curriculum, with years of information split between a structured database and a body of institutional documentation. Staff could navigate the software, but they couldn't simply ask it questions. Getting answers meant knowing where to click, how the data was organized, and which records were still current. Yahara built "Judy," a production chat assistant that searches indexed WIDS documentation and pulls live records from the database so responses reflect an institution's actual curriculum, translating plain-language questions into safe, read-only database queries and correcting itself when a first attempt doesn't work. Judy also drafts curriculum content, such as learning objectives, for staff to review.

Helping the CDC Accelerate and Streamline its Infectious Disease Monitoring Program
Client: The Center for Disease Control
Service: Data & Analytics (Data System Integration)
The CDC was monitoring viral infectious diseases and needed a better tracking of samples and testing data across its own site and satellite labs. The old process relied on pre-printed labels, a satellite-access database emailed weekly, and a manual merge into the national lab's databases. And because samples often shipped without manifests, the weekly data file didn't always match the physical shipment. Yahara built a secure, AWS-hosted platform integrated with the national lab's newly implemented LIMS, adding single and bulk accessioning, on-demand real-time label printing onsite, automatic shipping-manifest generation, and a multi-tenant design giving each satellite lab private, secure access.

The Common Thread
Every one of these projects looks different on the surface, but the underlying work is the same. In each case, a client came to us with a system that scientists, clinicians, or engineers depended on, and needed a partner who could understand the science and the software well enough to make that system genuinely dependable.
Yahara Software helps science- and data-driven organizations turn complex requirements into well-engineered software, whether that means building something new, modernizing something old, or keeping a critical system secure and running long after launch day.
