About PechaKucha
PechaKucha 20x20 is a simple presentation format where you show 20 images, each for 20 seconds. The images advance automatically and you talk along to the images.  The presentation format was devised by Astrid Klein and Mark Dytham of Klein Dytham architecture. The first PechaKucha Night was held in Tokyo in their gallery/lounge/bar/club/creative kitchen, SuperDeluxe, in February, 2003. Klein Dytham architecture still organize and support the global PechaKucha Night network and organize PechaKucha Night.   PechaKucha Nights are informal and fun gatherings where creative people get together and share their ideas, works, thoughts, holiday snaps -- just about anything, really -- in the PechaKucha 20x20 format.

With the help of Phil Crawford,  SupraNet & Yahara Software first brought the PechaKucha format to Madison in 2010 as a way to enhance the High Tech Happy Hour events.  The first events were held in the afternoons at various venues around Madison prior to the evening networking event.  In 2013, SupraNet and Yahara partnered partnered with Misty Lohrentz and The Monona Terrace.  PechaKucha Madison is produced quarterly and all events are held at the Terrace from 7-9 p.m. in the evening.

Each event features 8 speakers who present topics loosely organized around an overall theme.  Prior to the event attendees and presenters are invited to take advantage of the cash bar and informal networking.  Of course there is an official BEER BREAK after the first 4 presentations.  During this month’s special Forward Fest event, Mobcraft’s Fest Ale will be featured among other selections.
